Meet Jemima and Nancy | Youth Advocates

The Love Fund works with over 150 professional youth advocates from 50+ agencies across the Kansas City Greater Metropolitan Area (14 counties). Our youth advocates represent a diverse group of agencies, schools, and institutions, including (but not limited to): school family liaisons, medical professionals, social workers from transitional housing agencies, and support coordinators for children with special needs.

“The Love Fund is more than just a program—it’s a lifeline. It fills the gaps for families who face challenges most can’t imagine, offering support that brings real peace of mind. One recent example is a single mother whose young son is prone to eloping—wandering off without notice, which can be terrifying and dangerous. Because of this, she’s had to limit who can care for him, keeping her constantly on edge and isolated. Through the Love Fund, we were able to provide her with an AngelSense GPS tracking device. This simple yet powerful tool has brought her a sense of relief and empowerment. She can now monitor her son’s location during school hours and feels more confident allowing trusted family members to help care for him. The support from the Love Fund didn’t just provide a device—it gave a mother peace of mind and a child more freedom, safely.”

The Love Fund is honored to partner with dedicated professionals who care deeply about the well-being of Kansas City’s children. These advocates embody our mission by identifying youth whose unique needs can be met through Love Fund support. They consistently go above and beyond for children with special needs and families facing difficult transitions or financial challenges. They truly are the heart of our Mission, and we love working with them every day!

We would like to introduce you to a few youth advocates who have graciously shared their feedback on our programs.

"Every August when I deliver the school supplies provided by the Love Fund, the kids and parents are so excited to receive the supplies. You can see the sense of relief on the faces of the parents knowing their children will return to school with what they need."-
